- Who is responsible for maintaining the Knowledge Library?
While we rely on your team to share your updated security documents and policies with us, we provide knowledge library maintenance (e.g., Bulk information upload, duplicate audit, outdated information audit, replacing with the latest information, etc.).
Knowledge Library Maintenance can range from a self-serve process within your team to leveraging the SecurityPal team’s support by sharing the most recent documents with us. We also update your knowledge library with the latest information each time you return a completed version of the questionnaire.
- What are the different kinds of user roles available?
Four access ‘Roles’ are available in the app:
- Admin - This role has the highest level of permissions in the app. Admins can edit system and team settings. They can edit your library and edit and collaborate on the concierge dashboard.
- Editor - Editors can edit your library and collaborate on the concierge dashboard.
- Viewer - Viewers can view your library and collaborate on the concierge dashboard.
- Concierge Dashboard User - Concierge dashboard users can collaborate on the concierge dashboard.
- What are the differences between ‘Categories’ and ‘Tags’?
While both Categories and Tags are leveraged to optimize search and easier filtering of required information from the Knowledge Library, there are some key differences:
Categories are prefixed, industry-based InfoSec words/terms used to map each row of information in your SecurityPal Knowledge Library. They cannot be edited and are mostly used for general purposes.
Tags are highly customizable terms based on your organization’s needs. They can be used as markers for all kinds of use cases.
- What are some commonly seen ‘Tags’ and what is their use case?
You can name your tags anyway you want. Here are some commonly seen practices:
Product- tags - If your organization has multiple product lines and some of their security features are different from one another, product-based tags can be leveraged to identify these varied multi-product answers to the same question.
Subject tags - Tag questions related to a particular subject or team. For example, tagging legal Q&A pairs with ‘Legal’ tags makes it easier for your Legal and Compliance teams to navigate and update.
FAQ tags - If you want to mark the top Frequently Asked Questions in your Knowledge Library, talk to your Engagement Manager and we can tag these questions with ‘FAQ’ tags for you.
- What are the case scenarios that require multiple libraries?
Multiple libraries are best suited for:
- Organizations with drastically different product features and technical base
- Organizations with separate business units that function like a company of its own
- Separate departments that wish to leverage the SecurityPal Knowledge Library for their own documentation purposes (Eg: Legal team, Compliance, GRC, etc.)
- How do I remove duplicates from the Knowledge Library?
As a part of our managed services, the SecurityPal knowledge library team can do this for you.
Please request this as a service by emailing concierge@securitypalhq.com or your Engagement Manager.
